Give me a valid reason to not be pissed

The SPM results were out a few days ago......

Check this out:
A few days ago, you see this in the papers.

Today, you see this in the papers.

Such explicit biasness. I am pissed. Goodness, these people work like crazy to do their best in the examinations and here is what they get: " No naming of top student this year because everyone has their strength and weakness"? What crap?! Just give them the due credit la. Why like this? So hearbreaking! She studied so hard and did so well and yet it is publish in the national newspaper that despite that, her achievements will not be recognised as the best.

I know she probably doesn't covet it but it's so disappointing to see such overt biasness.

I cannot understand.
I cannot take it in.

I am disappointed.
I am pissed.

Sigh.

Setupiak!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oops, sorry to flood ur cbox. After understanding the whole situation, I think Datuk Dr Adi Badiozaman Tuah, the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate director, MIGHT not actually refuse to name the top student, simply because the girl who got 16 1As is a chinese. (In fact, i read that there is another guy got 16 1As and a 3B).

Ever since one malay girl broke the SPM record 2 years ago, by getting 17 1As, there are more and more students taking more than 6 subjects, or rather 10. In the past to 6 subjects are good enuf, then then changed the system from aggregate to sijil terbuka, correct me if I am wrong, to allows more flexibility supposedly. Then 10 become the standard. And after the record breaking girl's "achievement", students are taking more and more subjects.

And, it is so obvious that Nadiah who's SUPPOSED to get 19 1As this year, is out to break record.
1. She said (translated from chinese newspaper) that in order to beat the girl who scored 17 1As, she must not stay in boarding school, but a kampung school instead, because a kampung school will not restrict on the number of subjects a student takes.

2. She even wrote a book, sorry, she wrote two books, before she knew the results??? Such confidence??? (or arrogance??)

At least in Singapore, you can't take Physics, Chemistry, and then take combined scince, but it's not the case in Malaysia. Students take particular subjects, just to score As, which I think is quite stupid? Let's take a look at the papers she sat for during exam:
Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Science, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Islamic Studies, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Tasawwur Islam, Al-Quran and As-Sunnah studies, and Islamiah Syariah studies, Biology, Additional Mathematics, Economics, Malay Literature, English for Science and Technology.

Why will a student take Science after she took physics, chem and bio? What is english for science and technology? and there are 5 studies related to Islam? (and there is only 1 bible knowledge?)

Anyway, just hope that Datuk Dr Adi said that he won't name the top student this year because of the reason he said, and the worrying trend that students think that the more the merrier, and he will not name the top student again next year lo. If he does next year, then it's biasness. If not, well, that shows that he meant it?

Ya. He better make sure he won't name the top student again next year!

I guess, i'll never understand why people want to take 16 subjects and all that? it's quite dumb. But yeah la, like you said, there are some redundancies. Like, taking science when she's already taking Physics, Chem and Bio.

The passionate pursuit of glory! Drives people to do strange things. And in 7-8 years time, that SPM results will mean nothing!

SETUPIAK!!!
